Full Moon Eclipse Fire Ceremony

On August 28, we gather at the close of an extraordinarily potent cycle.

Beginning with the Day Out of Time on July 25, moving through the Lionsgate portal and the powerful Solar Eclipse of August 12, these past weeks have brought many of us through profound processes of illumination, change, release and Remembering.

This Full Moon Eclipse brings this portal, and the integration period that has followed, towards completion. It is an opportunity to honour all that has moved through us, integrate what has been revealed, and consciously step into a fresh new cycle.

To mark this moment, we have the very special honour of welcoming Jero Mangku Adi Buddha, my brother, mentor and Balinese priest whom I have worked closely with for more than a decade, to share an ancient and deeply Sacred Balinese Fire Ceremony with our community.

Working with Agni, the Sacred Fire held within the Kunda, we will make offerings of gratitude to our Ancestors, to Mama Killa, the Moon, the Sun and the many beings of Nature who support and sustain us.

Through the Fire we are given an opportunity to alchemise the heavier or more challenging processes we may have walked through during this eclipse passage, integrate the realizations and Medicine that have arisen, and receive the vitality of Agni as we step forward renewed.

We will also place our prayers into the Fire, not only for ourselves and those we love, but for our greater global family and the Earth herself.

For me, this is also a beautiful opportunity to practise reciprocity with Bali. We receive so much from this island and from the people who continue to tend its Temples, offerings, prayers and ancient traditions. This is one small way we can give something back.
